Before you write

7 - Use the Theories from this Subject.

Your teachers want you to reproduce what they have taught you.

Reproduce what you have been taught

Your teacher obviously wants you to answer the questions in the assignment, but they also want you to apply their theories or models to it. This is an extra dimension.

Some students may be tempted to use theories or frameworks from another subject in an essay. While this theory may be appropriate it is not from the approved list from this class. Therefore you may miss out on marks.

For example you may be answering a question on “External Environment Analysis” for a subject called “Strategic Planning.” Last semester you may have studied “International Business Strategy” which used a different framework for doing an external analysis. To use the framework from the other subject is probably a mistake that will lose you marks.

If you are unsure which is the appropriate theory, discuss this with your teacher.
